Now that my daughter is in Kindergarten, I have realized we need some type of calendar and organizational system to make sure my husband and I both know what upcoming events we have and which days my daughter has field trips or which days she needs to wear tennis shoes to school for PE. (My husband gets my daughter ready for school each day and can never remember which days are PE days on which my daughter has to wear tennis shoes to school, since they are now only doing PE two days a week, which I guess is better than not at all like some schools….) But anyways, I decided to research ideas on Pinterest for a DIY Family Command Center and found some really creative ones out there.
My ideal command center would have:
- a large calendar (a digital one that links to our iphone calendars would be extremely cool, but I’m not sure if something like that exists, I’ll have to research that a bit more)
- a chalkboard
- a white board
- a pin board
- a pencil/pen/chalk holder
- a school papers storage basket or bin
I hope to use some of the neat ideas I found I Pinterest to create my own starting this weekend. In the meantime, I thought I’d share the creative ideas I found! Here ya go:
